Hello, I am still very much a beginner and trying to learn some of these licks. Can someone tell me what the “b”, "p" and “r” stand for? I know that the “h” stands for hammer the next note, but I am a little lost on the others. I appreciate it, thanks.
-hmchicken | 1/28/2005
I think the b stands for bend, as in bending the indicated string upwards. The r, I assume stands for release, as in releasing the bend. As for the p, I think it stands for pull off, sort of the opposite of hammering on, but im not sure of it.

Yes, you are correct.

h=hammer on

p=pull off

b=bend (if "b" appears before the note then this is a pre-bend; bend the note before it is played)

r=release bend

Hope this helps.

This tab sounds really great!!!Thanks

What does the / mean?

Thanks

-OvationUltraGS | 3/1/2005
The / means to slide the note. Example 5/7
means to hit the note on the fifth fret and slide it to the 7th.

YES! Finally I've found the correct tab for the solos. Thanks so much

Excellent work dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome work man, but i think there is one minor mistake. I believe that the bend on the twelfth fret of the g string early in the solo is supposed to be on the 11th fret. I may be wrong, but just a notice. Other than that, it's right on. good job!
-savesthedon | 4/7/2005
Yep, a typo. I played it right on the sound byte though. Thanks for picking up on that for me. Glad you like it.

sounds really good
-sweethomealabam | 4/28/2005
that's really good i think some parts might use a little tweaking like at the end of the two little riffs he might do a little bit of a vibrato, but hey im probably wrong because there is no way i could of tabbed that song as accurately as you did good job!!
-zavoguitar5 | 7/16/2005
Yeah, I don't add the little nuances to my tabs. I give a fair tab, and a good soundbyte and let everyone else put their own little twists on it. You don't want to be a robot player anyways :-). Glad you like it!
-logansams | 7/16/2005
Good tab.
