Chord Walkdown/Walkup's Lesson by lmofle
Transitioning from one chord to another gives you an opportunity to
add some color to your song. I have a tendency to utilize these
quite often so I made this lesson here to speak of this.

4 Note Walkdowns

C to G - 5th string 3rd fret, 5th string 2nd fret, 5th string open,
6th string 3rd fret. You are now able to play a G chord because you
have gone from C to G.

  C G
E-------3-|
B-------0-|
G-------0-|
D-------0-|
A—3-2-0-2-|
E-------3-|

F to C - 4th string 3rd fret, 4th string 2nd fret, 4th string open,
 5th string 3rd fret

D-3-2-0-0-|

D to A - 4th string open, 5th string 4th fret, 5th string 2nd fret, 5th string open

  D Bm
E-----2-|
B-----3-|
G-----4-|
D-0---4-|
A—--4-2-|

Note that in all these walkdowns the last note allows you to be in
 that next chord.

WalkUps- these are the same only reverse the process (notes). This is
how you lead in and out of chords and especially adding an
alternating bass will fill up your song.

Actually, there is one other walkup that isn't the opposite and that
is D to G - 4th string open, 4th string 2nd fret, 4th string 4th
fret, 3rd string open

  D G
E-------3-|
B-------0-|
G-------0-|
D-
