slide in drop D tuning Lesson by dogil

As 'fifty' says in his lesson on slide guitar chords, not much about slide.
I have started learning some, and my teacher has me on the drop D tuning 
 

D A D F# A D

Hit a few fully open strums, then pull the slide down 3rd fret, 2nd fret, back to open.   Do that
 twice, then on the third run through, slide immediately back up off the open - hit from the
 3rd fret and slide up to the 5th, hold for a second or two on the 5th, then pull it up to the 7th.

Voila - you have dipped your toes into the 'muddy waters' of blues slide
