Intro

(D) Mason jars on the dresser, filled with (G) quarters, and (E) dollars
(A) Savin' 'em for our trip around the (D) world
But now that you changed your tune, there'll (G) be no honey(E)moon
So (A) tonight I'm going there without you (D) girl

(No chord) I'm going down to Mexico, in a glass of te(G)quila
Going (A) down to Puerto Rico, in a bottle of (D) rum
Going out to Honolu(D7)lu, (G) in a Mai Tai (E) mug
And I'm (A) coming back home to Georgia, in a (D) jug

We'll (D) never ride that bus to Mexico (G) City, that's a (E) pity
We'll (A) never sail our ship into Old San (D) Juan
You'll never walk with me, on the (G) beach at Waiki(E)ki
And we'll (A) never share that brick suburban (D) home

To(A)day I'm taking that money out of that (E) jar
Tonight I'll buy my ticket, down at the corner (A) bar

(No chord) I'm going down to Mexico, in a glass of te(G)quila
Going (A) down to Puerto Rico, in a bottle of (D) rum
Going out to Hono(D7)lulu, (G) in a Mai Tai (E) mug
And I'm (A) coming back home to Georgia, in a (D) jug
Then, I'm (A) coming back home to Georgia, in a (D) jug

I don't doubt that he's playing that way because in a full band you
have the bass guitar (or lead in some cases) to do the walk downs for
you. In this case, I tabbed it like I hear it and if I were playing
alone, adding in the bass notes gives you a more advance sound than
the chords.
