Brad Paisely - When I Get Where Im Going

Intro - Csus4-C - Csus4-C - Csus4-C - Bb

(verse 1)
    Am7 C/B C F Am7 F or (Am/5+)
When I get where I'm goin, on the far side of the sky,
      F G C Am7 F C Gsus-G
The first thing that I'm gonna do, is spread my wings and fly,

(verse 2)
       Am7 C/B C F Am7 F
Gonna land beside a lion, and run my fingers through his mane,
   F G C Am7 F C Gsus-G
Or I might find out what's like to ride a drop of rain, yea

(chorus)
          F C
YEa, When I get where I'm goin, They'll be only happy tears,
        G F C
I will shed these sins and struggles I have carried all these years,
           F
And I'll leave my heart wide open,
        Am
I will love and have no fear,
         G
Yea when I get where I'm goin,
                       C
Don't cry for me down here,

(verse 3)
I'm gonna walk with my grand-daddy, And he'll match me step for step,
And I'll tell him how I've missed him every minute since he left,
And then I'll hug his neck,

(chorus)
          F C
YEa, When I get where I'm goin, They'll be only happy tears,
        G F C
I will shed these sins and struggles I have carried all these years,
           F
And I'll leave my heart wide open,
        Am
I will love and have no fear,
         G
Yea when I get where I'm goin,
                       C
Don't cry for me down here,

(bridge)
         D#
So much pain and so much darkness,
         F
In this world will stumble through,
           G#
All these questions I can't answer,
             Bb
And so much work to do,

(verse 4)
                              Am7 - C/B - C
But when I get where I'm goin,
      F Am7 F
and I see my Makers face,
      F G C Am7 F C Gsus-G
I'll stand forver in the light, of his amazing grace,

(ending)
          F C
Yea, When I get where I'm goin,
         F C
Oh, When I get where I'm goin, They'll be only happy tears,
     F C
Hallelujah, I will love and have no fear,
  F C
Ahhh when I get where I'm goin,
         F C
Yea when I get where I'm goin,

Ending - Am7 - C/B - C
          F - C - F

Great tab! Only problem is in the lyrics. Instead of it being when I see my neighbors face it should be when I see my Makers face. Great Job on the tab as always though!!!

Thanks for the great tab for such a great song! Can anyone tab out the acoustic version as seen on www.strippedmusic.com. Brad plays capo on 2nd fret and looks like easy chords. Check it out if you haven't seen it. Thanks

Yeah, this sounds great. I did see he used a capo to play it as well. Great work on the tab, palamino.
