Burgers and Fries
By Charley Pride

Chorus:
C Em F C
Burgers and fries and cherry pies, it was simple and good back then
C Em F G
Walking in the sand hand in hand never thinking that it could end
F Em Dm E7 F
Making our love with the moon above at the drive-in picture show
 	      F C F G C
And it was burgers and fries and cherry pies in a world we used to know

C Em
Changes come and go, we've had our share I know
       Gm Bb F
Now it seems we don't have time for love anymore
 	   D G
All the things we used to say, little things we did each day
     Dm G C
Oh I long to do the things that we did before, when it was...

Chorus

Well I'm still the same old me, that's all I'll ever be
I'd like to think that you're the same old you
We lost something down the line that I wish we both could find
Lord I'd like to do the things that we used to do, when it was

I'm pretty sure that the Em is an Em7.

I've always felt that am Em and Em7 are essentially interchangable
and is subject to what you hear. Same with D or D7, A or A7, etc.
Personal preference...

Yeah, that's true. I figured it to be Em7, and the F be Fmaj7,
because of a manuscr i pt I have, but in the recording he could be
using just an Em and F. But for the Em, I guess it is personal
preference.

Warning - do NOT always trust any sheet music - I have plenty of cheat books from my past and often times, they are wrong. Just keep that in mind...
