Clint Black - Spend My Time

Intro - Cadd9 - Am7 - Fmaj7

(verse 1)
Cadd9
How can we know how far the long way can be
Am7
Looking from where we are it never seemed that long to me
Fmaj7
I've many miles behind me maybe not so much ahead
Cadd9
Seems I made good time with the directions I misread

(chorus)
Am F C G
I'm gonna spend my time like it's going out of style
    Am F C G G#
I'm moving the bottom line farther than a country mile
  Am7 F Am7 Dsus-D
I still have hills to climb before I hit that wall
          F G Cadd9
No matter how much time I buy, I can never spend it all

(verse 2)
Funny thing that time, we're always running out
I'm always losing mine, there's not enough of it about
And though it's always here, it will always come and go
The days become the years that'll be gone before you know

(chorus)
Am F C G
I'm gonna spend my time like it's going out of style
    Am F C G G#
I'm moving the bottom line farther than a country mile
  Am7 F Am7 Dsus-D
I still have hills to climb before I hit that wall
        F
I won't go quietly into that dark night
F
There'll be no more burning daylight
C
I'll be living in
      G G#
Every moment that I'm in

(chorus)
Am F C G
I'm gonna spend my time like it's going out of style
    Am F C G G#
I'm moving the bottom line farther than a country mile
  Am7 F Am7 Dsus-D
I still have hills to climb before I hit that wall
          F G Cadd9 - Am7
No matter how much time I buy, I can never spend it all
              Fmaj7 G
No matter how much time we buy
                        Cadd9
We can never spend it all

i think for a more better sound, like in the video play with a capo
on the 4th fret, but thats just my opinion give it a try and see

also on the last chorus, he says im gonna spend my time like its
going out of style, ill only use whats mine, been saving for a while,
ill still have hills to climb before i hit that wall, no matter how
much time i buy i can never spend it all, no matter how much time we
buy, we can never spend it all

-Tigerlilly | 11/15/2003
How is this different than lmfoe's?
I see the exact same chords.
-WildCard76 | 12/7/2003
Well for one the chords are NOT exactly the same,
the chords in the chorus that LArry tab'd in is incorrect.....
And if I was to just resubmit it
I wouldn't have labeled it corrected:)
I could have put a number beside it ;-)
-palamin0 | 12/10/2003
In the last chorus, after "goin' out of style". The next two lines are...
"I'll only use what's mine
I've been savin' for a while"
Then it goes back into "I still have hills to climb.....etc"

LarryBrook it can be played either way NEITHER way is incorrect.........to each his own:).......
-palamin0 | 4/12/2004
It looks like following the G, there is a G#. This is not a G sharp, it is an Abdim.
(A flat diminished)Try it!
-blumuze2 | 7/9/2004
Oh, here's the chord chart for Abdim. Enjoy!
4X3434
-blumuze2 | 7/9/2004
Everybody needs to come to an agreement on which one is right. Im getting tired of practicing wrong material.
-Dicky_1115 | 4/5/2005
