from France recently and ah they was talkin’
about David Allan Coe as a songwriter and ah.
They were sayin’ how ah my song, Jack Daniel’s,
If You Please, that I wrote in 1956, ah really changed
country music back in the 60’s and then in the 70’s
you know and Divers Do It Deeper and Take This Job and 
Shove It and different songs that I wrote. This guy 
was sayin’ that, he was wonderin what David Allan Coe 
would be writtin’ by the year 2000 that would be 
so different and unusual then whatever everyone
else was doin’. So I call this a Song For The Year
2000.”
