Here are the lyrics
(I'll work more on the chords)
and help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated

F
When you give it up for gone

Bb
But your still diggin in the mine

F
and your staring out the window

C
saying everything will be just fine

F
Keeping with the whole affair

Bb
Every word seems out of line

F
No matter what angle you get

C
It's polished til it shines

Chorus:

You take a guess at where I stand
Pick a number, one to two
take a look, at the back of your hand
like you know it, you know me too

When you say, "who the hell am I living with,
what just went down
where did this come from
why are all my colors faded brown
when did it change
what with the rage
who's the dude with the extra roll
with the verse, the line, the chapter, the page

REpeat chorus

Bridge
You think your lost without any place left to go
Like you need one of those kisses, long and slow
at first glance its not what it seems
but theres some things i just know
like you take two sugars with a splash of cream
you take a guess at where I stand

Great song!

I'm pretty sure his guitar is tuned down a half step, cause these
chords are right. Probably makes the picking a little easier, I'll
try it and let ya'll know.

-ilikeguitars | 7/12/2003
this song is tuned down a whole step, the chords (as in regular
tuning) are G, C, D for the verse and chorus, with Em, D for the
bridge.

I went ahead and tabbed this (and it's on the site) and if you want
the exact sound from the recording, capo 1 and play key of E
chords...I also got the bridge chords...

But I decided to pull it from the site since Palamin0 had it done
the way I tabbed it...

i think the last 3 notes of the first part of the intro (starting after the first note of the hammer-on) are fret 3 on the A string, open on the D string, then fret 3 on the A string again
-jojo_drummer | 3/2/2004
I'm not absolutely sure but I think the the hammer on parts are on the 3rd and 5th not the 1rst and 3rd frets

I'll have to get the guitar out to check on the tuning but my point here is that the timing of your chords
on the words is off. You have the chords at the beginning of each line which is incorrect for some lines.
Try this:
G
When you give it up for gone
C
But you're still diggin in the mine
G
And you're starin out the window
D
Sayin everything will be just fine

Hope this helps. Keep on jammin!
