Crawlin' Time
Rodman/West
Album: Livin' the Life

INTRO: E

    A D A
The neon fog lies heavy in this barroom
                    D A
Like many nights before, I'm here again
       D E A D
As the floor comes up to greet me, I fight falling to my knees
        A D E A
But her memory drags me down and the crawling time begins

CHORUS:
         E A
Crawlin' time, I'm back to losing her again
         E A
Crawlin' time, I should've crawled to her back then
                      D A D
Each night I spend my freedom gettin' stoned out of my mind
A D E A
Drinkin' away her memory until it's crawlin' time

INTRO

Here I go, just one more round again
With a bar-rolled smoke and a strong drink in my hand
Listening to the jukebox for the song that took my last dime
For a while I'll get lost in the melody, but she ain't far behind

CHORUS

BREAK: A-A#-B-C C-B-A#-A A-A#-B-C C-B-A#

     A D A D
Each night I'll spend my freedom gettin' stoned out of my mind
A D E A
Drinkin' away her memory until it's crawlin' time
                          D A
I'll be drinkin' away her memory, doin' crawlin' time

I bought this CD when I first heard DIDDLY. Love this tune! Probably my fav off the album.

Same here. I just listened to it again recently. I'm surprised he didn't record any other albums; he seemed like a traditional-leaning guy with some contemporary sensibilities. Thought he would've gone farther.
