TROUBADOUR
GEORGE STRAIT
TROUBADOUR
Tabbed By: Stoney

CAPO II:

A F#m D A

A F#m
I STILL FEEL TWENTY FIVE, MOST OF THE TIME
         D A
I STILL RAISE A LITTLE CANE WITH THE BOYS
HONKYTONKS AND PRETTY WOMEN, LORD IM STILL RIGHT THERE WITH THEM
SINGING ABOUT THE CROWD AND THE NOISE

CHORUS:
A
SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE JESSE JAMES
F#m
STILL TRYIN TO MAKE A NAME
D
KNOWIN NOTHINGS GONNA CHANGE
A
WHAT I AM
I WAS A YOUNG TROUBADOUR
WHEN I RODE IN ON A SONG
AND ILL BE AN OLD TROUBADOUR
WHEN IM GONE

WELL THE TRUTH ABOUT A MIRROR
IS THAT DAMNED OLD MIRROR
DONT REALLY TELL THE WHOLE TRUTH
IT DONT SHOW WHATS DEEP INSIDE
OR READ BETWEEN THE LINES
AND ITS REALLY NO REFLECTION
OF MY YOUTH

REPEAT CHORUS

I WAS A YOUNG TROUBADOUR
WHEN I RODE IN ON A SONG
AND ILL BE AN OLD TROUBADOUR
WHEN IM GONE

Great Song. Awesome job on the tab, but the Fm should be F#m.

I think it has auto deleted all the sharps in the tabs I have been resubmitting...dont know what the deal is, but Ill fix it thnx.

Good job, but its "singing above the crowd and the..." not "about"
-Craig_Morgan | 7/19/2008
good job,but it's I still raise a little cane with the boys
-koolblu | 8/25/2008
I think it sounds better with the capo on 4 with G EM C G
-mjacquez | 9/4/2008
Would it be that much trouble to chord the whole song?
Looks good otherwise.

just my pref... I use to put the chords over every line, until I realized how much cleaner it is without.

Nice tab and I agree that it is a little nicer on capo 4 with G/Em/C/G.

There's also a chord change missing after the middle of the 2 verses (with the boys and whole truth) its an E in the A/F#m version and a D in the G/Em version.

i listened intently after "a little cane with the boys" and cannot say I here an E chord change...if it is, it is very suttle....I may just be slowly becoming deaf...who knows.

b f#m e and b if u want to play it without a capo...enjoy
-BMcMahon | 12/25/2008
Can't think of the name of the root chord, but it is not F#m to play the open version. You use the F#m fingering on the fourth fret. It is almost a C#, but Im pretty sure it is called something else.
