Gillian Welch - One Little Song

 ---(capo 2nd fret)---

(verse 1)
G
There's gotta be a song left to sing,
                                           D
Cause everybody can't have thought of everything,
Am
One little song that ain't been sung,
Am7 G
One little rag that ain't been rung out completely yet,
D7 C
It's got a little left, one little drop of falling rain,
Bm C
One little chance to try again, one little bird that makes it home,
G C
now and then, one little piece of endless sky,
Bm C
One little taste of cherry pie, one little week in paradise,
D7
And I start thinkin,

(verse 2)
G

                                           D

Am
One little note that ain't been used,
Am7 G
One little word that ain't been abused a thousand times,
D7 C
In a thousand rhymes, one little drop of falling rain,
Bm C
One little chance to try again, one little bird that makes it every,
G C
now and then, one little piece of endless sky,
Bm C
One little taste of cherry pie, one little week in paradise,
D7
And I start thinkin,

                                          D

Until there's nothing left,

The chord after the Bm is Am not C.

The first G chord alternates with Gsus4.
The Am & Am7 in the verse are in fact D (no chord change). Part of GW's genius is that she can imply chord changes with the emotion in her voice. Her guitar playing is always very simple & chord changes are slow (pluck open strings whilst hand changes position).
