A few things to go over first. Throughout the entire song Granger tends to
hammer on and off the top two bass strings when he plays G and Cadd9. When he
plays his D chord, he also hammers on and off with the e and G string. I know
its kind of complicated, but there's a great video of him doing it on youtube for
aggie 96. You can get away with out doing the hammer ons, but it does add an
awesome effect.
