James Talley - Are They Gonna Make Us Outlaws Again

C F C
So you never picked no peaches you never rode no boxcar train
 C G
You never worked down on the road gang or slept out in the rain
 C F C
When you see a good man have to struggle sweat and strain
C G C
When a man can't feed his children don't it make you stop and think

          F G C
Are they gonna make us outlaws again
        F G C
Is that what it's comin to my friend
        F G C C/B Am
Well I think I see why Pretty Boy Floyd done the things he did
          F G C
Are they gonna make us outlaws again

I'll tell you folks there's trouble there's tension everywhere
And everybody's askin when's it gonna end
Well there ain't nobody answerd because there ain't nobody up there
But I'll tell you folks there's trouble there's trouble everywhere

Chorus

Well hard times and breadlines ain't no sight to see
Being a man who's hungry ain't no plate of dreams
Yeah the blues is fine for singing but it's mighty hard to eat
And those engines won't keep rolling if they ain't got gasoline

Chorus

There's always been a bottom and there's always been a top
Someone took the orders someone called the shots
Someone took the beating lord and someone got the prize
Well that might be the way it's been but that don't mean it's right

Chorus

I can't find a recording with this song in C. He usually plays it in C# (Key of C with capo on the first fret. On his Touchstones album he plays it in key of G on the third fret. Other wise, great tab.
