"Redneck Side of Me"
Songwriter: Jarrod Niemann
Tabbed by Dan Pera

  D C D
I never cut tobacco in the hills of Tennessee

An' I ain't got a moonshine still,
      A
But I still love to smoke an' drink
     D
No I never ate dinner from a wood burnin' stove,
   G D
Or rode bareback in a rodeo
    Bb A
You wanna see the redneck side of me

          D
Give me a six-string flat-top guitar,
    Cadd9 G
Put all you hillbillies in a honky tonk bar
D A
Show me to the stage an' set me free
         D
An' I'll sing all night, till the mornin' light,
          G D
When your shades are on an' your heads on ice,
       Bb A D
You'll know you've seen the redneck side of me

G D G D Bb A D

(Let me tell you somethin')

  D C D
I never was a roughneck pumpin' crude down the line
                                         A
Oh, an' I ain't logged no timber, sawin’ on them Georgia pines
        D
I can't mix the best batch of et touffe,
   G D
I never hunted 'gators in the Everglades
    Bb A
You wanna see the redneck side of me

          D
Give me a six-string flat-top guitar,
    Cadd9 G
Put all you hillbillies in a honky tonk bar
D A
Show me to the stage an' set me free
         D
An' I'll sing all night, till the mornin' light,
          G D
When your shades are on an' your heads on ice,
       Bb A D
You'll know you've seen the redneck side of me

              D
Aw gimme that Gibson, Les Paul guitar,
    Cadd9 G
Put all you rednecks in a smoke-filled bar
D A
Show me to that stage an' set me free
          D
An' we'll raise hell all night, an' then the mornin' light,
          G D
When your shades are on an' your hat's too tight
       Bb A D
You'll know you've seen the redneck side of me

(quicker strumming pattern)

          D
Give me a six-string flat-top guitar,
    Cadd9 G
Put all you hillbillies in a honky tonk bar
D A
Show me to the stage an' set me free
         D
An' I'll sing all night, till the mornin' light,
          G D
When your shades are on an' your heads on ice,
       Bb A D
You'll know you've seen the redneck side of me

jamey johnson is the new KING of country music! His voice is everything country music represents .....from the outlaws to the balladmen he is truely what country music has been missing and like most of the Greats!!!!( Hank Williams Sr.) He is from the great state of ALABAMA!!!!!

Hit the nail on the head. I couldn't agree more. I'd like to see Jamey Johnson beat the crap out of Jimmy Wayne and Rascal Flatts by himself with his bare hands.

I agree with both of you...it makes me mad because rascal flatts aint even country...they are too girly...The way its heading I fear that Jamey Johnson wont reach the level of fame that he truly deserves because he isnt this pop-country that for some reason ppl actually like. But its ppl that prolly dont like traditional country music too...Honestly I think Jamey Johnson and Eric Church are the two few new country singers that are actually country and it makes me mad thinkin about it
