How To Forget
By Jason Isbell
Written By Jason Isbell
CD: Something More Than Free (2015)
Tabbed By Larry Mofle

Edit 10/10/15 - mbkelly10 was right in his comments. I listened to the song over and over
and you can definitely hear the C to Am walk down and the Em fits/sounds better!
So you can still play this with standard tuning/no capo using D, Bm, F#m, A in the
verses...

Capo 2

         C Am
Give her space, give her speed, give her anything she needs
        Em G
Get her out of here
         C Am
Give her weed, give her wine, give her anything but time
        Em G
Get her out of here
    C C/B Am
She Won't stop telling stories
    Em G
And most of them are true
    C C/B Am
She knew me back be-fore
           Em G
I fell for you

I was straight, I was sad, didn't realize what I had
It was years ago
I was sick, I was scared, I was socially impaired
It was years ago
My past a scary movie
I watched and fell asleep
Now I'm dreaming up these creatures
From the deep

Chorus:
Dm G
Teach me how to forget
C C/B Am
Replace the character set
Dm G C
Teach me how to unlearn a lesson
Dm G
Teach me how to forget
C C/B Am
Cause I ain't sorry just yet
Dm G C C/B Am Low E note G C C/B Am Low E note
Teach me how to unlearn a lesson

Have a seat, have a drink
Was I good to you
Was it hell, was it fun
Was I good to you
Now that I've found someone'
Who makes me
Does that make my leaving harder to forget

Very well done, all the right notes. Knowing Isbell, this thing is Capo-ed on 2, making the D a Capo-ed C, etc. When listening, the Em is definitely a Capo-ed Dm on 2.
