The intro tab is excellent...however, the explanation of your notation at the end is complicated enough that I would just rather get the sheet music and try to figure it out from there. -guntemar | 4/6/2004 | Feel free to suggest changes or to post some tabs of yours. True, the tabs I have been posting are not just the G A D G that seem to be the norm on this site. True, Sheet music is much better at portraying music in written form. True, this type of tab may be over some peoples heads. Lots of people are happy just banging out chords and having a good time. There isn't a damn thing wrong with that either, but I think that there are a lot of players (like me) who want to more about the song's construction than a simple chord arrangement. Thats why I don't bother putting in the lyrics for these tabs. Anybody playing these tabs obviously knows the song and can play the guitar beyond a few open major chords. Also: 1) Not everyone can read sheet music. 2) Sheet music is normaly written for piano which is 8 octaves as opposed to guitars 2 1/2 (although you can always transpose on the fly) 3) Sheet music normaly doesn't display the arrangements for more than one instrument at a time. (although some do and multi instrument arrangements are obviously availible.) 4) These tabs are free. 5) Just putting down G A D G will tell you what to play, it won't tell you how to play it. 6) You can't post sheet music on this site.
I do these tabs for our band and session work The format allows for time values which are normaly absent in tabs. Doing tabs this way permits anyone to sit in and play the arrangements. Are these tabs %100 correct? No way! They are what we hear and play for the various artists. I do these for our band, I post them here for anyone who wants them. Good multi-instrument tabs are hard to find and I hope that the ones I have posted are of some use. I'm not suggesting that these tabs are good but I have become a much better musician by having done them.
-Rondo Fondu | 4/8/2004 | Dude......You seem like you know what you are talking about, but the song has about 5 chords in it and you make it look very complicated. I could only amagin what you make a complicated song look like, You should do a TAB for Horse with no name. But it ends up sounding really good when you figure it out. ........The Ice Llama -ice_llama | 5/16/2004 | I posted Horse with No Name on the rock Tabs site for you. -Rondo Fondu | 5/17/2004 | JOHNNY CASH WILL NEVER DIE!!!!!!!!!!! -traceadkins | 9/1/2004 | -codydicken | 9/4/2004 | try using in the chorus for ur second chord use ------3-------- ------3-------- ------2-------- ------2-------- i think it sounds good with that just a thought though good tab. -tsmith_88 | 1/23/2005 | wow...first time ive ever seen people complaining a tab is too good...nice work bro keep it up.
