Please show odd chord shapes so people can see this as the "easy" way.

I am not being critical, but the "easy way" to me
does not seem so easy. I am kind of new, I love
this song, sure wish there was an easier way to
play it. If anyone knows, hook us up!!!!! Thanks
for the tab though I will work on it....sigh....

oh, i'm sorry. the odd chord shapes are on the other chord submission. this is the "easy
way", because there are not as many chords.

This is a difficult song to play, and there are many different tabs for it -all seem to feature chords which have me scratching my head!

For all you guitarists like me who have limited ability, this is how I play it, its not necessarily 'right', but it sounds good..

intro: F to G (Leave high E string open throughout)

then..

F - Em - G (Dont forget the open top E)

Then..

A (with pinky on B string, 3rd fret - sorry, i dont know the names)
Em7 - D (With open top E)
A (Two note open A, leave the B ringing)

Then..

G,(run down to Fsharp note on E string)
D (Open E)
D (with add-on F note)
A (Two note open A, leave the B ringing)
E
F to G

..Then repeat.

Sorry its a bit badly written out, but this version does work well for me.

Use two note A & D chords throughout to get that 'searchin' in the sun' feeling!

That will give me something to work on, thanks. Mac again I wasn't being critical, I don't have enough experience to be, lol. I enjoy all your J. Cash tabs, don't know what I would do without them... Keep it up fellas and maybe someday I will have the guts to post a tab on here!!!

Couple mistakes on the way the chords have been written out, methinks. Not sure if the fret numbers are wrong or the names of the chords are wrong (I don't know the song well enough), probably the numbers.

Am7 should be x02010 (not x02120 which whould be Amaj7, as it is major)

Dm7 should be xx0211 (not xx0221 which would technically be called D minor major 7 as it has a major 7th not a minor one)
