I think it's great! I played over the loudspeaker on my last day to really let them know how I felt about the job! -TRON | 2/22/2003 |
I knew David Allen Coe had a lot of big hits including this one and Tanya Tucker's "Would you lay with me,". I would like to see a list of his 63 songs. If anyone has a list of them or where I could find them please post... Thanks

Great tab, but try using just the D instead of Dm. -andylee | 8/19/2004 |
this song reminds me why paycheck sucks so much -chuck2112 | 2/17/2005 |
Coe didn't have 63 top 10 hits sung by other people. He had like 2 or 3. He only had one song crack the top 10 for himself and that song was Mona Lisa's lost her smile. There is a lot of lies and rumors about DAC (half of which he started himself). Every offensive country sounding song gets his name attached to it. I am as big a fan of coe's as you can get and i've seen a lot of interviews. All I can say is, don't believe anything that comes out of Coe's mouth. -BrianEarlHaines | 5/19/2005 |
David does have more hpye than most. He has written some great songs though and I think his studio work is good. I don't really care for his live preformances. I have a copy of his first album, a fold over cover with jail bars and a really bad song about monkey blood. He came a long way. -jazzhenry | 7/19/2005 |
paycheck dont suck, chuck. this is an awesome song. id say this is better than the DAC version. paycheck made it famous. more people know his version than DAC's. He's not bad, himself, but for this song, it goes to johnny. singers named johnny are usually the best ones, i just think hes got a cool name. it's more of a catchy name for an artist. anyhow, whenever i hear someone mention this song, or if i mention it myself, people think of paycheck. it obviously was better than the DAC version if more people remember it. -macg1 | 10/19/2005 |
