I have both of this guy's CDs. He is my favorite "new" artist. He hasn't done a bad song. I hope he hits it big. Keni's first CD, "Flags Of Our Fathers" is a tribute to the military and the United States. Everyone needs to hear that CD. But then again, this guy was a Captain in the Army and he was in Somalia for the "Blackhawk Down" incident. A true patriot and a great talent. Every song could have and should have been a hit. "Gunslinger" is just as good, but without being full of tribute songs.

I do have one thing I noticed with this song. I don't know if it's a correction, ot if I just hear it differently, and it's in the lyrics. In the second verse, the line you have as:

"Fighting this feeling I should have made the stay back east"

Sounds to me like:

"Fighting this feeling I should have maybe stayed back east"

I have no complaints about this post at all. I am just happy that I can find a Keni Thomas song. Hopefully I will get to the point where I can figure out the music just by listening the way a lot of you do. If I ever get there, you will see more of Keni's stuff on here.

Thanks for a great song by a great artist and an American hero.

Correction to my previous comment: I was told Keni was a Captain, but I later leaned he was a Sergeant. Quite a difference in rank.
