Kenny Chesney
Pirate Flag (Correct)
Capo 5
E, D, A x2

       E D
Well I come from a little bitty, homegrown small town,
A A
Smoky Mountains, nice place to hang around.
E D
Moonshine, that's where they make it,
A
Put it in a jug, makes you wanna get naked.
E Da
But I jumped on a greyhound bus one night
A A|.s
And took it all the way to the end of the line.
E D
Stepped down in the sun, when my feet hit the sand
       A
What a long strange trip

CHORUS:
           E D A
I spent my whole life running around
              E D A
Still let the wind kinda blow me around
                  E D
Well I dropped a note in a bottle
      A
To a long-legged model
      E D
And I traded it in for a whole 'nother world
A
A pirate flag and an island girl

E, D, A x2

E D
Well my friends back home think I've gone and lost my mind
A
Take a sip of rum and you really would know why
E D
Jolly Roger flying on the picnic table
A
Blender in the kitchen, willin' and able
E D
Don't know what makes you say "What the hell"
             A
But when the salt air catches a hold of that sail
E D
Something 'bout her makes you just wanna dance
        A
And she loves to dance

CHORUS
E, D, A

  G
I remember back home 'neath the big ol' moon
A
Tucked back in the woods, yea life was good
G A
But here we are in a local bar drinkin' shooting stars

I might spend my whole life running around
Still let the wind kinda blow me around
Well I dropped a note in a bottle
To a long-legged model
And I traded it in for a whole 'nother world
A pirate flag and an island girl

D A E to end

A pirate flag and an island girl
A pirate flag and an island girl
A pirate flag and an island girl
A pirate flag and an island girl

Real guitarists don't use capo's.

Well, this is for the people singing and playing at the same time. The only "Real" guitarists in the Country music biz that I know of are Brad Paisley and Keith Urban and when playing acoustic I've seen both use a capo. To soothe your ego, take the capo off and play A, G, and D in the verse and chorus. In the bridge play C and D.

What a blow to my ego to find out I'm not a real guitarist. Thankfully I average 125 gigs a year singing and playing with a capo, so I've got that going for me.
