A Friend of Bill

Thank (E) God, I am a friend of (A) Bill
Those many meetings helped keep me (E) sane
His stories and thoughts, I treasure (B7) still
Keep me going back again and  (E) again

For those who where there early (A) on
They listened and took my (E) hand
They let me tell them what was (B7) wrong
Saved my foundation from sinking (E) sand

I learned it was not mine, but Gods (A) Will
That what I must do was let (E) go
Yes, I am proud to be a friend of (B7) Bill
And I will be, wherever I (E) go
