The old board walks around the home place,

I think of them often

When time moved at a much slower pace

I think of it often

During the warm days of Spring
We'd turn the board walks over and find
Squirmming, healthy earthworms a plenty
For fishing, they were the best kind

Yeah, we had wood board walks,
We couldn't afford concrete
All around the old home place
And they kept us with dry feet

Those flat boards on the ground
They held the heat and moisture in
Made those wiggly worms abound
Put them in a can, and go fishing again

The old board walks around the home place
I think of them often
When time moved at much slower pace
Yeah, I think of that often
