Mobile After Dark
By Michael Shane Borden
Tabbed By Larry Mofle
3/19/2010
Chorus:
D A
I got whiskey on the brain, I got Thelma on my heart
Bm G
And I'm flyin down this highway into Mobile after dark
D A
Should never have crossed me, I told her from the start
Bm G
But I'll have my retribution at the Lakeview Trailer Park
D A
I can see her looking sultry in that little cotton dress
Bm G
Turnin heads and breakin hearts, man, she made my life a mess
D A
Mama tried to tell me that she wasn't worth a damn
Bm G
But she run off and left me with that boy from Alabam
Chorus
Solo
Theres a truckstop in the rearview, wish I had not let it pass
I'm down to my last Camel and I'm almost out of gas
Three bullets in a pistol, one is hers and one is his
And the last one in the chamber, is just in case I miss
Chorus

Nicely done, Larry. You have a typo in the first verse, though. Where it says, "But I'll have my retribution...," the chord there should be a Bm instead of an A. Thanks for tabbing this one.
Michael Shane Borden -hellbilly1 | 7/30/2013 | Also, for anyone interested, the little turnaround between verses and at the end is D D/C D D/C. D/C is a regular open string D chord with a C as the bass note.
Happy picking!
Michael Shane Borden -hellbilly1 | 7/30/2013 | Thanks Michael - had I paid attention I would have noticed the verse had the Bm and I should have caught the Bm!! -lmofle | 7/31/2013 |
