Capo on 3

Am F C G X2

Am F
i wasn't even twenty-one
C G
we were young and having fun
Am F G
making love and feeling free

until one day she cried
she was carrying a secret inside
And it belonged to her and me

Am F
june always leaves me
C G
wondering what mighta been
Am F
the warm summer breeze
C G
sends chills through my skin
Am F
I can't take it back
C G
Everything I've given away
Am F G
mmm mmm it's Father's Day
F G Am
mmm mmm it's Father's Day

I can still taste the tears
even after all these years
that ghost's been hauntin' me
we used to say our love would last
but how easily it tripped in past
leaving only painful memories

june always leaves me
wondering what mighta been
the warm summer breeze
sends chills through my skin
I can't take it back
Everything I've given away
mmm mmm it's Father's Day
mmm mmm it's Father's Day

George - while I see you have a few years on me and I do understand
what you are saying, I will disagree with you. A Capo is not
a "cheater bar" as some musicians call them - it's a tool. 2 guys
playing together, one capo'd, the other open, makes a distict and
interesting sound. Different from 2 guys playing the same song in an
open.

Now, all of my tabs are tabbed to how the record is played and then I
try to find an easy way for beginner players to do it. When you first
started I am certain you wanted to learn all the songs you liked but
some were hard because of the chord progressions it makes. An F chord
can be bypassed by playing a capo on 3 and using the key of D chords
(D, G, A). It has nothing to do with the ability of someone - sure, I
could have shown the tab in F# but using the barre chords on 2, and
4th frets can be difficult. But why do that when it's not necessary -

not to mention you don't have to play with the capo - it's a matter
of your singing key. Now, I'm not disagreeing with you in that I
think people should learn the barre chords and what frets to play to
make them correct but again, a tab is nothing more than a
roadmap...something to guide you.
