Pat Green & Brad Paisley
CD: Lucky Ones
Tabbed by Jason Marbach - email questions to Smoothie7745 at hotmail.com

Intro: A D A D

Verse 1:
             A E
We were just dumb kids with a six pack that a bad fake ID bought
F#m D
Sittin’ on the living room couch hopin’ that we didn’t get caught
         A E
And when we did, my Dad had some good advice for me
        F#m D E A D
He said “Son, there’s a time and place for just about everything, it’s called College"

Verse 2:
           A E
Next thing I know, I’m packin’ up, and hey, I’m outta here
  F#m D
A back seat full of clothes in my old Cavalier
              A E
And there was empty pizza boxes stacked up around the room
  F#m D E A (walk up to D)
A couple of beers on a Tuesday and one in the afternoon in College

Chorus:
               D... E... A
Those were the best days of my life
           D E A
I found my friends, myself, and my wife
                 D E F#m
I learned almost everything I know
        E D7 E A
Without ever gaining knowledge…in College
              D
(yeah yeah yeah)
   A
In College
              D
(yeah yeah yeah)

Verse 3:
             A E
I had such a good time in those four years that I stretched it into six
    F#m D
And I’d like to thank ol’ George’s Bar for the classes that I missed
      A E
I was searching for the meaning of life when I saw her walk my way
          F#m D...(it stays in D)
And there was no doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t bat a GPA

Chorus:
               D E A
Those were the best days of my life
           D E A
I found my friends, myself, and my wife
                 D E F#m
I learned almost everything I know
        E D7 G (start of guitar solo)
Without ever gaining knowledge…in College

Guitar Solo (go Brad go!)
G D Em C
G D Em E (major this time...)

Chorus:
               D E A

          D... E... A
I found myself, my friends, and my wife
                 D E F#m
I learned almost everything I know
             E D7 ... A
I might have gained a little knowledge…yeah…in College
              D

I'm not a huge Pat Green fan, but I really
dig this song. Lots of steel guitar. The lead
guitar isn't overpowering the song (as is the
case with most of the songs I've heard by him).

Lol. I have this cd, wave on wave, and 3 days, and I definitely disagree with wildcard on this one. But I guess we all have our opinions huh? My opinion would be that with the exception of Cross Canadian, Creager, Foster, and Brad Paisley, there is no better than Pat. (not that any of them are better) I've been playing this one ever since u tabbed it out and never commented so I'd figured that I'd tell u great job on this tab. Keep up the good work.
