E A E A
INTRO

E
 When you light those candles,
A E A
Up there on that mantle, setting the mood.
E
Well I just lie there staring,
A E A
Silently preparing to love on you.
B Cdim Dbm
Well, I can feel the heat from across the room,
D B
Ain't it wild what a little flame can make you wanna do?

   E A
I melt every time you look at me that way,
           E Emaj7 E D B
It never fails, anytime, any place.
     E D A/Db Am/C
This burn in me is the coolest thing I've ever felt ,
  E A(add9) E A E A E A
I melt.

E
Don't know how you do it,
A E A
I love the way I lose it every time.
E
 What's even better,
  A E A
Is knowing that forever you're all mine.
B Cdim Dbm
The closer you get, the more my body aches,
D B
One little stare from you is all it takes.

   E A
I melt every time you look at me that way,
           E Emaj7 E D B
It never fails, anytime, any place.
     E D A/Db Am/C
This burn in me is the coolest thing I've ever felt,
  E A(add9)
I melt.

E A D A/Db A E D A/Db B

hey man, tab is great, i saw this song performed live on the Bluebird
Cafe and the only thing is i think that it's tuned down half a step!
but it still sounds good like it is also..

why does cdim sound wierd and compleatly wrong when i play it on my guitar

side note:this song is awsome and the steamy video is even better?
-hollisboy | 7/17/2003
Are you sure you're playing the Cdim with the right fingerings?
It sounds perfect if you play the fingering he has in the chart at the top.
-Shantel | 7/31/2003
How you find these different types of chords amaze me.
-yinielin | 8/8/2003

-dirtysouth123 | 8/22/2003
I kinda thought the Cdim was a bit off too...awesome tab and even
more awesome song..anyone have an alternate to Cdim? Thanks!
-ttudred | 8/22/2003
For the record, Rascal Flatts did not write this song. In fact, they
do not write much of the songs they record.

-byrdman5 | 10/5/2003
Just to clarify comments made below, the lead singer of Rascal
Flatts, Gary Levox did co write this song with two other writers. The
two other writers are not part of the band, but Gary is....

-nickelcreed | 10/9/2003
Neil Thrasher and Wendall Mobley wrote the song with Gary.
-tdiddy` | 10/22/2003
Has anyone ever figured out the main riff for the intro and verses?
Wendell Mobley & Neil Thrasher will be on Live from the Bluebird
Cafe' this week with Edwin McCain; maybe I can figure it out by
watching them... I'll get back with ya'll.

-byrdman5 | 11/9/2003

Nice tab boss. I don't know how you find out
chords to match other than the basic ones.
You're a beast. Rascall flatts rock and I
Still have yet to see them in concert. Keep
tabbin' y'all!

I am a beginning guitar player and was wondering what the strumming pattern is for this song. I can't hear any strums when I listen to the song on the cd.... all I hear is the other instruments. Also, how can I figure this out for other songs. Help would be greatly appreciated.
-BCrews21 | 7/24/2004
instead of having us beginners try and listen to the picking pattern, can you please tell us? thanks
-flavaflav | 2/5/2005
axehappy, you are the man! or woman. whichever you prefer
-joemoon | 6/8/2005
Last time I checked, I was definately a man, so I'll stick with that :-)
-axehappy | 6/9/2005
the cdim is very very wrong, the rest if awesome
-guitarfreekBnB | 11/26/2005
Great tab. I agree that the cdim IS the transition chord; it's just tough to play correctly.
