G D/F# Em C G D/F# Em C
INTRO

G D/F# Em
 Hey baby, is that you?
C G
Wow, your hair got so long.
D/F# Em C
Yeah, yeah, I love it, I really do.
G D/F#
'Norma Jean', ain't that the song
     Em
We'd sing in the car,
C G D/F#
Drivin' downtown, top down making the rounds,
                 Em C
Checking out the bands on Doheeney Avenue.

Am7 G/B Cadd9
 Yeah, life throws you curves,
                          G
But you learned to swerve.
     D/F#
Me I swung and I missed
        Em
And the next thing ya know

I'm reminiscin'.
Am
Dreaming old dreams,
            G/B
Wishing old wishes,
     C
Like you would be back again.

D C G/B
I wake up in tear drops,
     D/A Cadd9
That fall down like rain.
  Em C D
I put on that old song we danced to and then
  C G/B
I head off to my job,
      D/A Cadd9
Guess not much has changed.

Punch the clock,
Em
 Head for home,
C D
Check the phone, just in case.
Cadd9
 Go to bed,
G/B
 Dream of you,
Am G D/F# Em C
That's what I'm doing these days.
                     G D/F# Em C
Yeah that's what I'm doin'.

G D/F# Em
 Someone told me after college,
C G
You ran off to Vegas.
    D/F# Em
You married a rodeo cowboy,
     C G
Wow, that ain't the girl I knew.
        D/F#
Me I've been a few places,
Em C
Mostly here and there once or twice.
      G D/F#
Still sortin' out life, but I'm doing alright.
Em C
Yeah, it's good to see you too.

Am7 G/B Cadd9
 Well hey girl, you're late,
                             G
And those planes, they don't wait.
           D/F# Em
But if you ever come back around

To this sleepy old town,
           Am
Promise me you'll stop in
               G/B
To see an old friend
    C
And until then...

D C G/B
I wake up in tear drops,
     D/A C(add9)
That fall down like rain.
  Em C D
I put on that old song we danced to and then
  C G/B
I head off to my job,
      D/A Cadd9
Guess not much has changed.

Punch the clock,
Em
 Head for home,
C D
Check the phone, just in case.
Cadd9
 Go to bed,
G/B
 Dream of you,
Am
 That's what I'm doing these...

D C G/B
I wake up in tear drops,
     D/A C(add9)
That fall down like rain.
  Em C D
I put on that old song we danced to and then
  C G/B
I wake up in tear drops,
     D/A Cadd9
That fall down like rain.
  Em C D
I put on that old song we danced to and then
  C G/B
I wake up in tear drops,
     D/A C(add9)
That fall down like rain.
  Em C D Cadd9 G (fade out)
I put on that old song we danced to and then

if captain a*****e (nathanlow....btw.great handle.sooo original.)is so
concerned why doesn't he tab it himself.if he were much of a picker he
could put in his own improv licks,....until then great job axehappy.
good ear man.
-gitarsound | 12/15/2002
I have the cd that this song is on and it came with the lyrics. The first
two lines of the chorus go as follows:

I wake up in teardrops
That fall down like rain

I just thought you might want to change that. I first thought that what
you had down was what they were singing but when I looked at the lyrics
that came with the cd I figured out that I was wrong. Nothing personal,
I just thought you would like to know.

-calissedfingers | 5/27/2003
play the D chord as normal, but use your
thumb for the F# note. :)
-axehappy | 6/6/2003
Hey Axe I have a question about the TAB!! In the chorus when they
say "I put on that old sond we danced to and then" You have a D at
danced. I getting tied up at this point. Do you hold onto the D for
another two down beats or is there another chord in there. Please
let me know. Anyway, you have a great ear. I love when I find a
song I want to play and you have tabed it. Thanks
-bjustice1 | 6/6/2003
Yeah, just hold the D down for those extra
two beats.. ;)
-axehappy | 6/7/2003

Test
-Korry | 11/19/2003
I don't reckon you need someone else telling you how great this tab is, but I
will anyway :-p Great job, Dave.

-COLINGIBBS | 3/19/2004
ya know, i really dont like to ask personal
questions, but did you say you were 18
axehappy? wow, it's just that everyone seems
very impressed with your guitar skills
and I was wondering how long youve been
playing for...but you know, its not really
any of my buisness, just a question
-gurl_krazie15 | 5/28/2004
I'm 23.. been playing about 13 or 14 years
now on and off.
-axehappy | 5/28/2004
is there a D on "doin" in the last line of
the chorus?...i think i hear it...sounds
better to my ear than just to hang in the Am
-cntyotlw | 6/19/2004
possible a D on Reminisin'?
-micah872003 | 7/12/2004
j/w axehappy do u prefer to strum the song or finger pick or jus
regular pick style...personally i think it sounds great
fingerpicking...jus curious how u like it. anyways great job...u
gotta a nice ear for music
-kcooper31 | 7/14/2004
There's tabs on here too... if you're so
good with music, why do you even need to be
on a tab site...?
Put your talents to use and tab some stuff
on here instead of disrespecting the members
who need these tabs.
-axehappy | 11/17/2004
i learned to play by looking at tab or chord sites or whatever the hell else anybody wants to call em.....jte_crw or whatever his name is is an a*****e....learned a WHOLE lot of from axes tabs...thnx man
-shazzam007 | 11/20/2004

-T4TeeJ | 12/2/2004
I'm a 17 yr old kid from PA and I've listened to country my whole life, but when did b***hes like Rascal Flatts become country. They are a hicked-up boy band. If Hank Sr. were alive he'd
get drunk and whoop these pussie's asses like a
real country star. SR. 4 LIFE!
-BillKline | 12/3/2004
I'm 17 also, but not as immature as you. Give it time, you'll get there eventually.
-OM28V | 12/18/2004
Dude, country is all about love so i think rascal flatts are country for sure. besides, 50,000 fans cant be wrong. hey by the way nice job on the tab bro its the first that i've seen done correctly! love the chord map too, it really helps those just starting out.
-guitarfella | 12/27/2004

-yamaha87 | 1/13/2005
Well, I know that this little Canadian girl thinks axehappy's chords/tabs are awesome. I just bought a guitar a few months ago and I already know so many songs thanks to people like axe. I mean, I can't put my guitar down so it's nice to be able to come on here and learn new songs, especially when they actually sound like the song haha. Hey buddy, keep postin 'em up 'cuz I'm lovin' it =) atta be!
-hockey_4 | 1/31/2005
I have but one question. This may sound really dumb, but don't make fun of me. I'm only an intermediate player (been playing for only a year, learned chords, music, and have a habit of playing my guitar everytime I look at it) How do you know which way to strum? Just listen to the music?
-eaglerider | 2/20/2005
yes../ good job on the song
-urban109 | 6/2/2005
Awsome tab I think it sounds just like the song. Its one of my personal favorites. keep up the good work

Peace DILLI
-DIlli | 6/21/2005
"And only 19 years old too!! Most of the guys
I know who like country are all in their 50's!! lol"

lol...I grew up with it....I'm only 15 right now.
-speed2345 | 7/28/2005
Axe,

thanks so much for getting this written out. My band is covering this song, and this chord sheet has been invaluable to us...especially those of us that sing and play guitar and keys...you keep tabbin, and I'll keep usin' 'em.
-mattphoenix | 10/1/2005
Hey axe ... great tab ... Every tab I've seen of yours they're right on .. awesome ear .. and to those morons who got retarded things to say about you or your tabs/chords .. ignore 'em .. They ain't worth your time .. Keep up the great work man :)
