Reckless Kelly
Mirage

Edit*
According to TXcountryboy, he plays this with a Capo 2.
I'm guessing he leaves the low E string open and only capos the other 5 strings.
If you capo this way, just play DAG instead of EBA

no capo

E B E
Lonesome and hungry I travel this land
                          B
Searchin for some place called home
E A E
Faceless and nameless known only by fate
                       B E
Destiny finds me no more shall I roam

Tired and thirty as I travel on
Dreamin of water and wine
Beside a green meadow I stopped for a rest
Where a gentle brook winds through the pines

Chorus:
B A E
Standin eyes blinded by God's golden water
                         B
My savior was but a facade
E A E
Hand sifted sand from a pool full of promise
             B E
My oasis was just a mirage

Alone and exhausted I fall to my knees
I can't find the strength to go on
Visions will show me the path as I sleep
and I'll find my way with the dawn

Chorus

Solo

Awakened by voices that whisper my name
I'm all alone in the night
How can a place so empty and cold
be filled with such glorious light

Chorus

Lonesome and hungry I travel this land
Searchin for some place called home
Faceless and nameless known only by fate
Destiny finds me no more shall I roam

I'm pretty sure "distant he" is actually "destiny" and I know for a fact that "better for sought" is actually "but a facade".

i saw them play this live and the chords are
D-G-D-A (capo 2)for the verse and for the chorus just A-G-D-A-D-G-D-A-D

I figured it was no capo bc you can hear the low E note, but it works with capo 2 if you only capo the top 5 strings and leave the low E open. I think it sounds better and you can hammer on the G string on the D chord pretty easily. Thanks for the info.
