Texas Remedy
By River West

Chorus:
      G D C
Let's sit out under the stars out at Big Bend
G D C
Walk the River Walk in San Antone
G D C
Hit the 6th Street bars down in Austin
G D C
Listen to Pat Green sing our favorite songs
          Em D C G C
Go to the West End, Stockyards and Luchenbach and see
          Em D G
If we can get a hint of a Texas remedy

Chorus:
Em D G
You been workin so hard you don't have time to spare
Em D C G
And I got things to do and I know that it seems like I don't care
Em D C
But I don't wanna know what might've been
        Am D
I wanna make love under the moonlight and learn to dance again

Chorus

And we've come so far you and I
We met each other down at Wunsche Brothers back in 1979
Lately it's all work and not enough play
So grab your suitcase, a change of clothes
Just tell 'em you're sick today

Chorus

(A capella)
Let's sit out under the stars out at Big Bend
Walk the River Walk in San Antone
Hit the 6th Street bars down in Austin
Listen to Pat Green sing our favorite songs
Go to the West End, Stockyards and Luchenbach and see
If we can get a hint, of a Texas remedy

They had a lead singer for a short period of timea few years ago named John Slaughter. He is now the fiddle player in Roger Creager's band.
