I’m From The Beer Joint
By Roger Creager
Tabbed By Larry Mofle
10/5/2008

D
People like to brag about where they’re from
D
Out in California down to San Antone
            G D
But you can find me on the map, follow me point to point
            A D
Hey I’ll be singing in a honky tonk, I’m from the beer joint

I’ll take a long neck bottle and a hard boiled egg
Sugar from you honey, and I won’t make you beg
I’ll twirl you ‘round a big dance floor only 8X10
I’ll put a dollar in the jukebox till it’s time to sing again

Chorus:
                   G D
Cause I’m from the beer joint, that’s where your money’s blown
       E7 A
We got ice cold beer, red hot women, you won’t need to bring your own
             G D E7
I’m from the beer joint, Luckenbach to Kingdom Come
        G A D
I don’t know where I’m headed but I’m damn proud of where I’m from

All my friends are singing on the radio
But I prefer a place where I can put on a show
I’m the king of the driving beat, I wear a Stetson crown
I’ll be a honky Tonkin daddy till the day they lay me down

the second time through the chorus he says "smokin hot" women instead of crazy, and "bakersfield" instead of luckenbach. the thir time he says "crazy" women, and switches back to luckenbach.
