Yard Sale
By Sammy Kershaw
Tabbed By Larry Mofle
10/4/2008

Capo 2

E A

E
Cardboard sign says "Yard Sale", real estate sign says "sold"
A E
Family picnic table holds all that it can hold
       B7 E A
On the grass and on the sidewalk, well there must be half the town
                      E B7
Ain't it funny, how a broken home can bring the prices down

Chorus:
           E A
Oh they're sortin' through what's left of you and me
                 E B7
Payin' yard sale prices for each golden memory
     E E7 A
Oh I never thought, I'd ever live to see
                E B7 E A
The way they're sortin' through what's left of you and me

You left two summer dresses in the backyard on the line
A lady just brought them to me, she said she thinks they'll fit just fine
Well, there goes the baby's wagon and the mirror from the hall
I'd better take just one last look before they take it all

Chorus

Tag
Well, I wonder what you'd say if you could see
The way they're sortin' through what's left of you and me

Let me suggest a different way to play this. Capo on the 4th fret and play D, G and A7. This is good, but I have a hell of a time with B7. As usual, nicely done, and a good song I had forgotten about until I started looking for some of the stuff I haven't heard in a while.
