Intro: (E) (Esus) (E) (Esus)
(E) Afternoon (Esus) low tide - (E) workin' on my (Esus) plan
Got (E) one hand in the water - the other in the sand
Two (Bm) beers in a cooler - (A) one warm heart in (E) place
Got a picture in a (Esus) bottle - one (E) nailed up to a (Esus) palm tree
(E) One out in the wind - and they all look like me
I want (Bm) somebody to be - the (A) feeling's all over my (B7) face
Oh, I've (E) never been more ready than I (G#m) am right now
I know (A) sooner or later - someway somehow
Some(F#m)body's gonna walk up and (B7) join somebody sittin' right (E) here (D)
So wher(A)ever, who(E/G#)ever you (F#m) are (B7)
The coast is (E) clear
I (E) close my (Esus) eyes and the (E) sound of the (Esus) waves
(E) Carries me forward - to better days
And they (Bm) open my eyes to the (A) woman of my dreams strol(E)ling in
With a small touch of (Esus) shyness - and a (E) smooth kind of (Esus) style
She (E) kisses me on the cheek and she says with a smile
I've been (Bm) waiting all my life for (A) you baby - where have you (B7) been
Oh, I've (E) never been more ready than I (G#m) am right now
I know (A) sooner or later - someway somehow
Some(F#m)body's gonna walk up and (B7) join somebody sittin' right (E) here (D)
So wher(A)ever, who(E/G#)ever you (F#m) are (B7)
The coast is (E) clear
So wher(A)ever, whoe(E/G#)ver you (F#m) are (B7)
The coast is (E) clear
(E) Afternoon low tide - I'm just workin' on my plan
(E/G#) Right (F#m) now
Right (B7) here
The coast is (E) clear
(E) (Esus) (E) (Esus)

Great job man, really good song..... 10 from me on this one too... keep it up -TK_Singer | 2/9/2004 | he plays the song with a capo on the 2nd. can anybody do tab that one for me. that would be great. this one sounds really good, but the feel just isn't right. -saxxman | 3/3/2004 | I'd replace each of the "D" chords with "Bm". Also, in the verses, not the chorus, I can hear a sixth note in the "E" Try playing it as E6 instead. . .gives it that laid back Buffett feeling. One last comment--the last chord sounds like a major 7th. Drop the second string back one fret:
(with capo'd second fret) --2-- --2-- --2-- --0-- x---- x---- -tele65 | 4/18/2004 | I tried the 'Bm' instead of 'D', and it just didn't sound right. -WildCard76 | 4/19/2004 |
