Title: My Best Friend
Artist: Tim McGraw

intro: G D/F# Dm/F C/E C G/B D

Verse 1:
G D/F# Dm/F C
I never had no one, that I could count on
            G/B D
I been let down so many times
G D/F# Dm/F C
and I was tired of hurtin', So tired of searchin'
C G D
Till' you walked into my life
C9 G
It was a feelin', I've never known
Am7 D
For the first time, I didn't feel alone

Chorus:
     G D/F# Am G/B Am7
Your more____ than a lover, there could never be another
 G/B D
To make me feel the way you do
G D/F# Am G/B Am
Oh____, we just get closer, I fall in love all over
G/B D
Everytime I look at you
D/F# G
I don't know where I'd be, without you hear with me
Am G/B C Am7 G
Life with you makes perfect sense, Your my best friend

Verse 2:

You stand by me, And you believe in me

Like nobody ever has

When my world goes crazy, Your right there to save me

You make me see how much I have

I still tremble when we touch

Oh, the look in your eyes, When we make love

(Repeat chorus 2 times)

D/F#: just hold The D chord down, and w/ your thumb hld down 2 on the top string.
-justinkatuls | 6/26/2003
C/E is just a C chord with E as the lowest (bass) note in the chord. Here are two ways to play, both very easy

E------0----0---------
B------1----1---------
G------0----0---------
D------2----2---------
A------x----3--------
E------x----0--------

D/F# can be played two ways, i recommend the SECOND way for this song...

E-----2----2---------
B-----3----3---------
G-----2----2---------
D-----4----0---------
A-----x----x--------
E-----x----2--------

-jlendvoy | 12/1/2004
Hey, There's a G chord missing. Its on the last line of the verse, between the Am7 and the D. Approx. above the words "first" in V1 and "in" in V2. Good job though!

As for the little intro riff. I think its something like:

e 2-------------
b 3-------------
g 2--2p0--------
d 0-----2p0-----
a ---------2p0--
e --------------

you might hammer on the "2"s. Hope that helps
