Tim McGraw
"Nothin' To Die For"

(Capo 1) **NOTE - All chords and tabs are relative to capo**

(INTRO) - D, A, D

(VERSE 1)
D A
Stopped to have a few at five now you're... crossin' that center line for the third time
D A
Second time like this this week... had a friend, ask you for your keys, you said "no I'm fine"
C#m F#m
You sure do act like you ain't... got a thing to lose
D
But every car you pass might be the ones you take with you

(Chorus 1)
                A A/E
You'd give your last breath to your wife... take a bullet for your kids
         A/F A/F#
Lay your life down for your country... for your Jesus, for your friends
D E A D
There's a whole lot of things... you say you're living for
              Bm E
You've got to fight it somehow... stop and turn around
                             A
'cause this ain't nothin' to die for

(VERSE 2)
D A
So what's the harm in a little fun 'cause you're... off to work before the sun... everyday
        D A
And the inbox outbox blocks you in and the money you make ain't worth the time you spend to make your pay
C#m F#m
The doctor says man... your numbers they don't lie
D
The graveyard's full of folks that didn't have time to die

(REPEAT CHORUS 1)

(BRIDGE)
D A/C#
Straight through that guardrail... up into that white light
    Bm D
You hear a sweet voice saying just this side of the other side

Just this side of the other side

(CHORUS 2)
                A A/E
You'd give your last breath to your wife... take a bullet for your kids
         A/F A/F#
Lay your life down for your country... for me and all your friends
D E A D
There's a whole lot of things... you say you're living for
                   Bm E
Well you've got to fight it somehow... stop and turn around
                             A
'cause this ain't nothin' to die for

(OUTRO)
D A
   Ain't nothin' to die for
D A
   Nothin' to die for
D A D, A, D, A (to fade)
Ain't nothin' to die for, no

You have the right idea for the first chords of the chorus but they are slightly different (Mostly just how you named them). A slash chord like A/E means that you play an A chord with an E bass note. Otherwise, great job on the song!

Here are the first 4 chords of the chorus:

A-----Aaug---A6---A7

0-----1--------2-----3
2-----2--------2-----2
2-----2--------2-----0
2-----3--------4-----2
0-----0--------0-----0
x-----x--------x-----x
