do you think you could tab out the backgraound of the song not the chords -cuda2111 | 10/15/2004 |

Country ? ok! -murph_2121 | 10/19/2004 |
someone work on the second guitar in the song, the one thats play during the chorus not the background. -TunaFish | 10/24/2004 |
Good song or not, it is definitely not country -sh2rock | 10/27/2004 |
love it, good stuff! -darkgreenlizard | 11/2/2004 |
Not country at all. -WildCard76 | 11/6/2004 |
This song isn't a country song but I think what he was saying is by a rap artist doing a song with a country artist that is a huge step. Before it would've been "embarassing" for a rapper to collaborate with a country singer. Think of all the people who listen to rap who will maybe give country a chance cause of this collaboration and wondering who this "Tim McGraw" guy is. -Shantel | 11/7/2004 |
who would have thought country and rap would come together and sound so good ? its awsome -sumtingwong | 11/9/2004 |
another big step for modern country, preciate the free lesson on the C chord, but there's not one played. -outlaw2269 | 11/22/2004 |
And to think Tim wonders who put the pop in his Country.....I love Tim's music and this song but you wonder how much of his music he feels or believes in. So the next time you listen to Back When and Tim is wondering who put the pop in my country,,,,yell-- YOU DID Tim.......and you do it well and we do get more for our money. -milli_99 | 11/25/2004 |
this song has all my friends saying "country music? tim mcgraw? hey isn't that what u listen to? -deh1002 | 11/27/2004 |
This song sucks! The idea to have Nelly and Tim do a duet is great, bringing the two types of music together is awesome... but this isn't it. This is Nelly asking Tim to sing two lines in a song and then synthesize his voice so that is sounds like crap, or like he's singing on a cell phone. This only makes Nelly more money because ignorant country music fans might actually listen to his music just because the name Tim Mcgraw is associated with it. Hopefully Tim will make a better choice next time. -Mrcleanandfresh | 12/3/2004 |
Okay, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound so negative, I just had high hopes for this song when I first heard about the idea that Tim would be singing with Nelly, but then I actually heard the song and I was kind of dissapointed. -Mrcleanandfresh | 12/9/2004 |
I MISS BACK WHEN country music really was good and tim had some good quality country songs, whats this crap tim? not knockin nellly but come on are you that hard up for songs tim, going just like your wife did , down the drain country and rap/r & b just dont mix and the sound quality sucks
I TRULY MISS BACK WHEN -bluegrasstabs | 12/27/2004 |
Just watched the video for this song, on CMT. Whoever had the idea to mix rap and country together is an idiot. I guess ignorance IS bliss, after all. -WildCard76 | 1/3/2005 |
haha, this board is funny --- songs like this are the reason i stick to guys like roger creager and jason boland and jack ingram -txmav03 | 1/8/2005 |
nelly.s from my home town of STL -reelbignathan | 1/11/2005 |
where you have i like it down its really i lock it down -Eddiew8 | 1/13/2005 |
me and my girlfriend love this song. it repeates what me and her went through to meet each other. -codyrayisacat | 1/17/2005 |
great tab -mellencampfan | 1/22/2005 |
my god you guys are so negitive. What i think is, is that you guys are too old fashioned to accept the fact that things change and they wont stay the way they were back when. I think that you guys should start accepting the newer things. You might learn to like it. ~jess -SweetThing11028 | 1/24/2005 |
I think this song is cool. Nobody was crying when Hank Williams Jr. did Family Tradition with Kid Rock. Or is it just a race thing?
-Whitey157 | 1/31/2005 |
Gosh...y'all are REALLY negative, ain't ya? I liked this song a lot...Yeah, Tim McGraw sounded like he was singing through a cellphone, and it was kinda wierd...but you all really do need to be more open minded...Eventually, we run out of things to sing about and music to play. Its kinda the "Monkeys with Shakespeare" thing...Thanks for posting this! -mattphoenix | 2/7/2005 |
I don't like Nelly, and I absolutely despise rap, but I think this song is a great step for country--maybe bring in some new faces and new ideas. As long as the music still revolves around Hank Williams, I think we'll be alright.
Great job with the tab, by the way. Not enough people are saying that. -twizzle05 | 2/11/2005 |
ALL YALL WHO ARE LIKIN THIS SONG ARE MISSIN THE POINT, ITS NOT A STEP FORWARD FOR COUNTRY BECAUSE SIMPLY AND PLAINLY THIS SONG IS NOT A COUNTRY SONG THERE FOR IT DOES NOTHING REALLY FOR THE NAME OF COUNTRY IN GENERAL. YES, A FEW PEOPLE MAY LISTEN TO THERE LOCAL COUNTRY
STATION AFTER HEARING THIS SONG BUT THE FACT IS IT WONT BE THAT MANY.and for you who had the race comment, HOW DARE YOU, rap and country are extreme opposites thats how its alway been and god pray it stays that way. rock and country are different yes but are very similiar in music styles. not downin either country or rap because both take certain talents yet the mixing of the two is simply degrading to what country music truely is about. COUNTRY = FAMILY RAP= TEENS/GANGSTERS they just dont mix well -bluegrasstabs | 2/24/2005 |
oh my dear God!!! if nobody tried anything new, we would all be still be playing reed harps, (like moses, on the ark). i mean if ELVIS hadnt mixed a little soul/blues with the rock n roll where would we be right now?Lets all quit makin a big deal out of is it country or rap..... Hell is it a good song or not? Then thats what it is!!!! -rojdebod | 3/2/2005 |
sorry but it was noah and the arc, moses freed the hebrews from slavery in egypt. good tab by the way, i love this song, but i wouldn't call it a country song, i wouldn;t call it rap. It is plain and simple music, something everyone can enjoy. family, teen, or gangster. -krummit | 3/9/2005 |
Yes,they are quite the negative ones aren't they. -travis_hall | 4/9/2005 |
And this coming from the same guy complaining about pop in his country? Can you say hypocrite? -Rpate55 | 7/23/2005 |
hes a hipocrit and a sellout. but hey, he doesnst know what hes doing, hell he doesnt write his songs all he is does is sing whats put in from of him. **** YOU TIM! -KnoxGodoy3 | 10/28/2005 |
