Watch The Wind Blow By - Tim McGraw
Album: Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors
Writers: Anders Osborne/Dylan Altman

**Capo 1**

Intro: A C#m D (x2)

A C#m D
Creek goes rippling by
A C#m D
I've been barefoot and all day with my baby
A C#m F#m E
Brown leaves have started falling leading the way
A C#m D
I like it best just like this
A C#m D
Doing nothing all the way
A C#m F#m E
So let's lay down in the tall grass dreaming away

Chorus:
    A
And all I wanna do is let it be and be with you
               D
And watch the wind blow by
     A
And all I wanna see is you and me go on forever
          D
Like the clear blue sky
G D G D E
Slowly, there's only, you and I
     E A C#m D
And all I want to do is watch the wind blow by

A C#m D

A C#m D
Girl, you know you told me not so long ago
A C#m D
To let it come, then let it pass
A C#m F#m E
And all your troubles and your sorrows they won't last
A C#m D
So let me kiss you now, little darling
A C#m D
Beneath this autumn moon
A C#m F#m E
Cold winds, another season will be here soon

REPEAT CHORUS

D A C#m D
And all I want to do is watch the wind blow by
D A C#m D
And all I want to do is watch the wind blow by

A C#m D (repeat to fade)

JUST A (F#) INSTEAD OF (D) IN A COUPLE OF PLACES

Yes you're right about those F#m's, I changed it. Thanks!
-Shantel | 12/19/2003
Excellent job Shantel. One suggestion. Anytime I played a c#m
instead of the D chord I played a Bm. The D is perfect in the
Chorus, but try the Bm following every C#m chord.
-REIMROCK | 1/8/2004
The chord progression should go
capo on 1
Intro
A C#m Bm x2
Verse
A C#m Bm x3
E Bm
Chorus
A Bm x2
C#m Bm x2
E Bm
Basically
I think.
When you play the Bm you keep your pinky up.

I have to say I like the D better in the verse.
