Toby Keith - Huckleberry

By axehappy - axehappy at countrytabs.com

The closest I could get this to sound correct to the pitch of the
original recording was by using a capo on the 5th fret.

Chord names and shapes are relative to the position of the capo.
Real chord names are in square brackets below.

G (C) = 320003 D/F# (G/B) = 200232

INTRO

G D/F# Em D C D
Just off of the two-lane where the school bus used to stop,
      G D/F# Em D Am7 D
Was a little wooden A-frame with a yellow tin roof top.
    C D Em7sus(add9)
And one day it was raining on this world,
          Am7 Dsus D
She said 'Have you ever really, really ever kissed a girl?'

G G7 C
Baby I'll be your Huckleberry, you don't have to double dare me,
G D/F# Em Am7 D
If the storm gets wild and scary count on me to be right there.
G G7 C
You're so extraordinary, sweet like maraschino cherry.
G D/F# Em D
We'll grow up and we'll get married,
C(add9)
 I'm gonna be your Huckleberry.
        G D/F# Em D C C(add9)
Mmmm hmmm.

G D/F# Em D C D
Later on that summer we went to the county fair,
     G D/F# Em D Am D
They had a brand new rollercoaster and everyone was scared.
       C D Em(add9)
It was two bucks to experience the thrill,
          Am7 Dsus D
She said 'Come on boy let's get in line I'll ride it if you will.'

G G7 C
Baby I'll be your Huckleberry, you don't have to double dare me,
G D/F# Em Am7 D
If the ride gets wild and scary count on me to be right there.
G G7 C
You're so extraordinary, sweet like maraschino cherry.
G D/F# Em D
We'll grow up and we'll get married,
C(add9)
 I'm gonna be your Huckleberry.

Mmmm hmmm.

I'm sure this sounds really good. I haven't found anything of yours that doesn't. My only complaint is that I love this song and it's out of my league. I'll keep working at it, but that's a lot of chord changes.
