Tracy Lawrence - Stones

Gm - 310033

Intro - Bm - A - D - G - A-Asus4-A
        Bm - A - D - G - Asus4-A

(verse 1)
D Gm F A Bm
Barely old enough, to call it love,
  A G D Asus4-A
Showin off, skippin rocks across, the water,
 Bm - A - D Gm
Stones, I handed one to you,
Gm Bm
You put it in your pocket,
A G D
Said you loved it, said you'd keep it,
   Asus4-A Bm - A - D
Forever, Stones,

(chorus)
       G A D (A-D)
One by one, they mark our passage,
            G A Bm
Along this winding road we're on,
           G Asus4-A
With each turn we take,
           F A Bm
From the craddle to the grave,
A Bm A G-D - Bm - A - D
Our lives are paved with stones,

(verse 2)
(D) Gm
A tiny velvet box,
F Bm - A
 One perfect little rock,
    G D
A little thing, just a ring,
      Asus4 A
But it says marry me,
 Bm - A - D Gm
Stones, we'll build ourselves a home,
Gm Bm
  Where loves a corner stone,
A G D
We'll have children, they'll have children,
          Asus4 A
Untill they run off on their own,
        Bm - A - D
Like stones,

(chorus)
       G A D (A-D)
One by one, they mark our passage,
            G A Bm
Along this winding road we're on,
           G Asus4-A
With each turn we take,
           F A Bm
From the craddle to the grave,
A Bm Asus4 A
Our lives are paved with.

(bridge)
G D
Birthstones, stepping stones,
 A D
Skipping rocks, and dodging lots of
 G
Sticks and stones,
      D Asus4 Bm A
And I've been on both sides of the road, and
   ( lead)
Stones

(lead - Bm - A - D - G - D - A
        Bm - A - D - G - Asus4-A)

(verse 3)
D Gm
 Years are like the wind,
F A Bm A
Their here and gone and then,
      G D
They'll blow away, our every trace,
Bm Asus4 A
All except our names, engraved in,
     Bm - A - D
Stones

(chorus)
       G A D
One by one, they mark our passage,
            G A Bm
Along this winding road we're on,
           G Asus4-A
With each turn we take,
           F A Bm
From the craddle to the grave,
A Bm A Bm - A - D - G - D
Our lives are paved with stones,

Some of it sounds good. I think that D sounds better than D7, and Em sounds better than EM6, and Am sounds better than A. I also add a little C G at the end of the verse - Instead of just playing D G, I play D G C G , I think it adds a nice touch.

If Somebody can show the right chords to play that would be awesome, because this is a beautiful song.

great job! Lyrics for bridge:

Birthstones, steppin' stones, skippin' rocks
and dodging lots of sticks and stones and i've been on both sides of thrown' stones

Caution on "F" chords. I hear F#, maybe F#7. But great work.
