You could also capo the second fret and play the chords D A C. Seems
easier to me just a helpful hint.

No, you play D A G with a capo on the third fret to make the notes
the same.

If you play with a capo on the second fret,
pre>Bb/pre> becomes pre>C/pre>
pre>C/pre> becomes pre>D/pre>
pre>F/pre> becomes pre>G/pre>.

Look it up on a transposition chart if you don't believe it.
