Turnpike Troubadours- "Whole Damn Town"
hillcountry18
02-01-11
Capo 4

C C/B C Am
i can go downtown drink til dawn
         C C/B C Am
i can sing those sad ole country songs
      C C/B C Am
o but daylight finds me bored and blue
      C C/B C Am
the whole damn towns in love with you

well the neon signs light up the block
its a livin', breathin' honkytonk
and your hairs wet with the morning dew
the whole damn towns in love with you X2

C C/B C Am

now all the cowboys in this bar
o and all those fools who play guitar
well are they aware we are through
the whole damn towns in love with u

C C/B C Am

well the music pours out on the street
just as clean and cool as a cotton sheet
well the morning lonesome fiddle blues
the whole damn towns in love with you X2

well your worn out favorite pair of jeans
o i remeber everything
they were things ive grown accustomed to
the whole damn towns in love with you X5

*After Am repeat the C, C/B, C, Am then continue to next line.

appreciate you takin the time to tab it out, but this isn't right at all. it's capo 4, F without the top string pressed, C, G, Am

it is capo 4, played in the key of C, which bc of the capo makes the song the key of E, but the chord progression is actually F - C - C/B - Am and it is played once between every line of each verse except when you're going into the tag line, and then you just go straight into the line w/out a break. between verse 1 & 2, you play through the chord progression twice. between 2 & 3, you play through it 4 times, then twice again between 3 & 4, and 4 times after verse 4 before the stop for the first line of the last verse. everything else looks good with the lyrics and stuff.

also the third line of the third verse is "and they're well aware that we are through"
and the third line of the fourth vrse is "well they moan the lonesome fiddle blues"
