Van Zant - Nobody Gonna Tell Me What To Do

(Sorry I had to resubmit this one ..this is NOT an attack on anyone..)

Em11 (no 5) - 202030 or 20203x
Em7add11 (no 5) = 302030 or 30203x

Intro - G- D - Cadd9

(verse 1)
Em7 Em11(no 5) Em7add11(no 5) Cadd9
Shoulda seen the look on the face of the boss of the second shift,
Em7 Em11(no 5) Em7add11(no 5) Cadd9
When I threw my hard hat at him, An' suggested the box where he could stick it.
G C
I walked downstairs an told 'em I was leavin' Bethlehem,
          Em7 D/F#
Like I'd seen the Saviour, had tears in my eyes,
Cadd9
Holdin' my hands up an' shoutin', "Amen!"

(chorus)
             G D/F# C
'Cause there ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do.
         G D/F#
I spent most of my life a-wrapped up tight,
      C Bb Am G
In somebody else's hand-me-down old shoes.
          D/F# Em Cadd9
Startin' today, I'm someone I'd be proud to know,
Am G/B C
You might tell me where to go,
           G D G - D - Cadd9
But there ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do.

(verse 2)
We buried Daddy just like week at the church that saved his soul.
Man, he dreamed of pilot's wings, spent his whole life diggin' coal.
I got a guitar under my bed but I've been too scared to fly.
That's enough of that stuff, I'm packin' up my truck,
They can just kiss my butt goodbye.

(chorus)
             G D/F# C
'Cause there ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do.
         G D/F#
I spent most of my life a-wrapped up tight,
      C Bb Am G
In somebody else's hand-me-down old shoes.
          D/F# Em Cadd9
Startin' today, I'm someone I'd be proud to know:
Am G/B C
You might tell me where to go,
             G D Em
But there ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do.

(Lead - Em7 - Em11 (no 5) - Em7add11 (no 5) - Cadd9 - Em7 - Em11(no 5) - Cadd9)

(chorus)
Am G/B C
You might tell me where to go,
            G D G - D - Cadd9 = 2x's
But there ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do.

(ending)
G Cadd9
I walked downstairs an told 'em I was leavin' Bethlehem.

Great job, palamin0. It is obvious that you don't get to nearly 1600 tabs without doing something right.

Another way to play the three chords during the chorus is

022000
022010
022020
022010

Kind of reminds me of the James Bond tune. Also, during the chorus, if I'm not mistaken it only does one run of the verse chords, and then Em-D/F#-Cadd9.
