Capo 4

D G
Please come to Boston for the springtime
    D G
I'm staying here with some friends and they've got lots of room
A D
You can sell your paintings on the sidewalk
     Bm A G
By a cafe were I hope to be working soon

Bridge:
D
Please come to Boston
          A D
She said "No, Baby you come home to me."

Chorus:
D A D
She said "Ramblin' boy, won't ya settle down
D A D
Boston ain't your kinda town
      D G
There ain't no gold and there ain't nobody like me
        A D
I'm the number one fan of a man from Tennessee

Please come to Denver where the snow falls
We'll move up into the mountains so far that we can't be found
We’ll throw "I love you" echoes down the canyon
And then lie awake at night 'til they come back around
Please come to Denver, she said no, Baby you come home to me

Chorus 2:
She said "Ramblin' boy, won't ya settle down?
Denver ain't your kinda town
There ain't no gold and there ain't nobody like me
I'm the number one fan of a man from Tennessee

Bridge:
          Bm A G D
Now these drifters words go round and round I doubt if it’s ever gonna stop
       Bm A G
But of all the dreams I’ve lost and found and all that I ain’t got
              E7 A
I just need a lean-to, somebody I can sing to

Please come to L.A. to live forever
The California life alone is just too hard to bear
I live in a house that looks out over the ocean
And there’s some stars that fell from the sky, livin' up on the hill
Please come to LA, She said no, baby you come home to me

Chorus 3:
She said "Ramblin' boy, won't ya settle down?
L.A. ain't your kinda town
There ain't no gold and there ain't nobody like me
I'm the number one fan of a man from Tennessee

E7 then A7 sounds better

I think there's a G on "man" in the chorus.. "number one fan of the man from Tennessee" and I always play an Em instead of an E7 in the bridge on "lean to".

Dave Loggins wrote it ,and Kenny Cheesney covered it as well
-lumpyokc | 11/20/2005
David Allan Coe also recorded it. I think it's a tie who's better Wade or DAC
