D Em D Em

            D G A D
Well, I'm a kid with a guitar trying to play Nuanges whenever they ask
G Bb D
Where does your style come from
  D G D
I know what you mean 'cause I learned to sing
G A D
Listening to blue yodel number one
   Bm F#m G
We love Hank and Lefty, Bob Wills, Ernest Tubb and Johnny Cash
       Em A
But if we had to pin point the start of who we are or we go by

Chorus:
     G D A D
That Django and Jimmie has Mississippi
  G D A
A young singing brakeman, a jazz playing gypsy
      G D F# G
There might not have been a Merle or a Willie
   Em A D Em D Em
If not for Django and Jimmie

Through the twenties and thirties Jimmie sang his way to the top
In spite of those old TB blues
Django was a star, he burned up a guitar
With just two good fingers to use
You can't turn back time or put more sand in the glass
But sometimes at night, I close my eyes and go back

It's actually "we go BACK" and not "we go by". And also it's "trying to play "LUANGE" when the ask
-Lukethepianist | 7/7/2015
Added the Luange but it still sounds like "we go by" and it makes more sense
-lmofle | 7/11/2015
I think it is "nuages" not "luanges" as that is a Django Reinhardt song and I also think that it is "Paris" not "has" as that is where Django worked a lot.
