I've Done Enough Dyin' Today
Written & recorded by Larry Gatlin

(No Capo)

Intro.: |(A) |(A) |(D/A) |(D/A) |

(A)What will we do now, (D)you tell me
The (A)hourglass is all out of (Dm )sand
(A) How could love (A7)slip through our (D) fingers (Dm)
And leave (A)nothing but time on our (G)hands

(G) And how will we live now, (A)you tell me (D/A)
With (A)parts of our hearts torn (Dm) away
Just (A)existing makes (A7)dyin' look (D)easy
But (Dm)maybe to-(A)morrow, I've done enough (E)dyin' (A) today

Solo: / / |(D/A) / / |(Amaj7) / / |(Dm/A) ---

And (A)how will I sleep now, (D/A)you tell me
With (A)only my arm my by (Dm) side
(A)Perhaps I'll learn (A7)sleepin' all (D) over (Dm/A)
And just (A)maybe without dreamin' this time (G)

And (G) who'll make you laugh now, you (A)tell me (D/A)
Since (A)you sent your clown on his (Dm)way
I (A)don't think I'll cry, (A7) just die (D) laughin'
But (Dm/A)maybe to-(A)morrow, I've done enough (E)dyin' (A) today

Solo: / / |(D/A) / / |(Amaj7) / / |(Dm/A) ---

And (A)how will we live now? (D/A)You tell me
With (A)parts of our hearts torn (Dm) away
Just (A)existing makes (A7)dyin' look aw-(D)-ful easy
But (Dm/A)maybe to-(A)morrowI've done enough (E)dyin' (A) today

Outro.: / / |(D/A) --- |(Amaj7) --- |(Dm/A) --- |(A) -----

Not the right Chord progression, try this A Bm Amaj7 (Dm7 (on sand) Amaj7 (Em7(strum without fretting, it's an open chord on slip through our Dmaj7 fingers Dm6 and leave Amaj nothing but time on our Gmaj hands. Amaj at (tell me) and repeat same chord progression again. At end of second verse Dm6 (maybe) Amaj (tomorrow I've done enough) E9 (dy) E7 (in) Amaj (today---Dmaj---Amaj7-----Dm6 Same chords on end of song except hold out day in falsetto with two extra chords at the end Amaj and Amaj9 to end. I may do my on tab for this at some time. Larry now has a bridge in the middle of this song he does at times in concerts it really completes the song.
