There will be about ten sections to this set of lessons, it will take
me some time to type it all out, and set it up completely. If you are
following these lessons, please keep checking back for additional
sections and scale types.

SCALES

The scale is a vital part of any lead guitarists repertoire. They are
the Basis of all Melody, and Improvisation.
There are 4 reasons why scales are important to know:
1.	They teach you the fret board, so you know were each note is.
2.	They can increase your Ear Training, which for most of you
         tabbers would be an advantage.
3.	They help increase your speed, agility, and accuracy
4.	They can help you to understand chords and chord formulas.

When working with scales, you are working with the Musical Alphabet,
which actually starts with C, not A. So the musical alphabet is C, D,
E, F, G, A, B. I don’t know why this is, But if anyone knows, please
email me and let me know.

What I will attempt to do here is lay out each scale and there notes
so you can learn them by notes. I will also add the scale formula
from the Chromatic scale, which is C – C with all notes, e.g. C,
C#/Db, D, D#/Eb, E, F, F#/Gb, G, G#/Ab, A, A#/Bb, B, C. I will also
add the Tonal formula, e.g. for this first scale, it would be T, T,
ST, T, T, T, ST. ( T=Tone, ST=Semi Tone. e.g. T= C, D. ST = C, C# )
