A New Technique for Playing Barre Chords
      


Okay, so you've been playing awhile now, and you think you're pretty good.
You've learned most of your major and minor chords, and maybe some 7ths.
Good. This little trick is just for you. For those who find themselves
"stuck".Now, here's your basic, run of the mill, standard Barre Chord:

       ---12----
       ---10----

  Look at it. Study it. Memorize it. Your basic Barre Chord.
  This is a " D " chord. But you already knew that didn't you.
  You can play this barre chord up and down the neck, and that's
  fine. That's great. That's BASIC. What about the "higher" end
  chords? B - C - D - high E - high F, and so on? You're probably
  just using your index and ring fingers to play them, much like
  this:

  This is also a " D " chord. Very basic, very simple, very easy.
  This lesson will show you how to play barre chords DIFFERENTLY.
  It will still be the same chord, but it will give you a much 
  fuller and "richer" sound. PLUS, your fingers will be in a much
  easier position to rip off some really quick riffs and runs.
  We're going to demonstrate on the "D" chord, now you can use this
  on ANY chord just by moving up or down the neck. But let's begin
  with "D". Since it is higher up on the neck, where the frets are 
  closer together, making fingering much easier.

  Above I've shown you two different ways to "barre" a "D" chord. Now, 
  I'm going to show you a 3rd way.

  This is also a "D" chord. Here you are "barring" you index finger
  on the 7th fret on strings 1 thru 4. You put your ring finger on
  the 5th string, 9th fret, and you put your pinky on the 6th strin
