Alan's song about 9/11 was written from a totally opposite point of view than Toby's. Where Were You talks about love where as The Angry American talks about anger. Every American sould want peace but if you can't relate to Toby's song than you are UNAMERICAN!!!

If you want to try this song w/out a capo, try this...

substitute C in place of G
substitute G in place of D
substitute Am in place of Em
substitute F in place of C

That should get you thru the song.

You are right; this song focuses on love while Toby Keith's is about anger. But both of them together are the feelings that ran through my heart that morning. Rage at those who had done this; yet a deeper love for those I cared about and for my country. Thumbs up to both Alan and Toby.

After a 4 year layoff from playing my guitar, this song started me playing again.

Thanks

Both Alan Jackson's and Toby's are good. Alan's is more soft while Toby just goes in and kicks everyones ass. They're both good.

Alan's song tells of how we as Americans felt or didn't feel about what had happened to the USA on 9/11. Toby's song tells how we felt for the bastards who did it! We, as Americans, should embrace what both have to say and stick together as ONE while we put "a boot up their ass" for doing it! A darn good song.
