If you listen to the song,the strumming pattern really isnt that difficult. Im 12 and I played this song at my cousins wedding,the groom sung it. The struming pattern is mostly fingerpicked, kind of like the intro.

as far as the strum pattern goes. It is in your basic eigth note (up and down strum) Aside from the country two beat feel your accent strum is on 1 and 3. Tap your foot to the song and you can figure out where you start counting 1-2-3-4 1-2-3-4 and so on. When struming put your accent down strum on 1 and 3. Let me know if this helps.
