Tabbed by: Emrldeyzs

VERSE 1:

D A Bm Bm-A
If heaven was an hour, it would be twilight
          G D A
When the fireflies start dancin on the lawn
     D A Bm Bm-A
And supper's on the stove and mammas laughin
G D A
And everybody's workin day__ is done
D A Bm Bm-A
If heaven was a town it would be my town
          G D A
Oh, On a summer day in nineteen eighty-five
     D A Bm Bm-A
And everything I wanted was out there waiting
     G A D A
And everyone I loved was still alive

CHORUS:

Bm F#m G D A
Dont cry a tear for me now baby
Bm F#m G A
There comes a time we must all say goodbye
D A Bm G
And if thats what heavens made of, You know I
D A D
 I ain't afraid to die

VERSE 2:

D A Bm Bm-A
If heaven was a pie it'd be cherry
       G D A
Sooo, Cool and sweet and heavy on your tongue
     D A Bm Bm-A
And just one bite would satisfy your hunger
     G D A
And it'd always be enough for everyone
D A Bm Bm-A
If heaven was a train it sure would be a fast one
G D A
About to take this weary travler round the bend
D A Bm Bm-A
And if heaven was a tear it'd be my last one
G A D D A
And you'd be in my arms again

CHORUS:

Bm F#m G D D
Dont cry a tear for me now baby
Bm F#m G A
There comes a time we must all say goodbye
D A Bm G
And if thats what heavens made of, You know I
D A D
 I ain't afraid to die
D A Bm G
Yeah if that's what heavens made of, You know I
 D A D
   I ain't afraid to die
D A Bm G
Yeah if that's what heavens made of, You know I
 D A D
   I ain't afraid to die

Great tab BUT you can substitute the Bm with a Em and skip over the Fm# and it also sounds good too if you use no capo. But its your tab great job

The Em doesn't sound right to me.

-gwj | 2/26/2005
if you play along with the music it sounds better if you put the capo on the first fret
-tott09 | 4/20/2005
The D over the "I Ain't" in the last line of the course is not right, stay on the A.
-taylormade28 | 5/15/2005
The song sounds pretty good...haven't checked it with the CD for the key...but the chord relativity is correct. But, I would play an A in place of the F#m in the chorus. On the words "cry" and "time" the A goes perfect.
